Garage Receptionist Legal
Terms of Usage
This policy explains how Garage Receptionist may be used. It is designed to protect your business, your callers, and the underlying AI, telephony, and hosting providers used to deliver the service.
1. Permitted Use
- You may use the service for lawful business call handling, enquiry capture, booking support, lead qualification, and workshop communications.
- You may route calls to the AI using your business number, an agreed divert number, or another approved telephony connection.
- You may use any live dashboard or hosted reporting service only for legitimate operational reporting related to your business.
2. Prohibited Use
- No emergency services routing, medical emergency triage, or life-critical call handling.
- No unlawful marketing, scam calls, harassment, abusive conduct, or deceptive caller impersonation.
- No collection of payment card details, bank login details, passwords, or special-category data unless a separately agreed compliant workflow is in place.
- No high-risk regulated use cases without written approval and appropriate compliance controls.
3. Caller Disclosures
- You are responsible for any legally required caller notices about recording, transcription, AI assistance, or data processing.
- If you operate in a sector with specific consent rules, you must ensure the script and workflow are approved for that use.
4. Telephony and Number Usage
- Any supplied number or third-party routing service must be used only for your authorised business communications.
- You must not use rented numbers to bypass carrier rules, local regulations, spam protections, or brand-verification requirements.
- Outbound use may be limited or suspended if complaints, carrier warnings, or spam indicators are detected.
5. Fair Usage and Technical Limits
- Included monthly minutes are subject to the plan allowance shown in your order or quote.
- Where usage materially exceeds normal receptionist use, a revised package, higher-capacity plan, or adjusted commercial terms may apply.
- Any hosted dashboard or reporting environment is provided for the agreed workload only. Excessive storage, traffic, or custom processing may require an upgraded service plan.
6. Integrations and Customer Data
- You remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of any CRM, calendar, or website data you connect.
- You must not connect systems you do not own or control.
- You should keep passwords, API keys, and integration credentials secure and rotate them if access is compromised.
7. Suspension Rights
Garage Receptionist may suspend or restrict service where there is suspected unlawful use, non-payment, abuse of telephony or hosting resources, security risk, or a provider compliance issue.
8. Changes to Usage Rules
These usage terms may be updated from time to time to reflect platform, telephony, compliance, or hosting changes. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
If you need a custom workflow, compliance review, or higher-capacity hosting arrangement, contact Cartcom before going live.
